1 crore 40 lakh 87 thousand grants distributed in Pune division under Stand Up India scheme.
Under the Stand Up India scheme, 1 crore 40 lakh 87 thousand grants have been distributed to 19 entrepreneurs in the Pune division, informed Regional Deputy Commissioner for Social Welfare Balasaheb Solanki.
While the Government of India and the Government of Maharashtra are celebrating the 125th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on a grand scale, the Central Government has announced the Stand Up India Scheme in 2015. In the Pune division, a total of 51 applications have been received under this scheme in the current financial year. Out of which 19 completed proposals (applications) were scrutinized by the Pune office of the Regional Deputy Commissioner of Social Welfare, Pune Division and recommended to the Commissioner of Social Welfare for sanction of financial assistance. Apart from Pune and Solapur districts, 9 applicants from Satara district have been sanctioned Rs 55 lakh 25 thousand, 9 applicants from Sangli district Rs 73 lakh 3 thousand, 2 applicants from Kolhapur district Rs 12 lakh 59 thousand and a total grant of Rs 1 crore 40 lakh 87 thousand has been sanctioned to 19 applicants.
In this scheme, the government has decided to provide margin money for the Scheduled Castes and the elements of the neo-Buddhist community. To provide maximum 15% margin money (Front and Subsidy) out of 25% of the total project cost to the beneficiaries as there is no capacity to pay margin money to the Scheduled Castes and Neo-Buddhist beneficiaries eligible for concessions in the State of Maharashtra under the Central Government’s Stand Up Scheme. The remaining 15% Front and Subsidy is being given by the Social Justice Department of the State Government to the Scheduled Castes and Neo-Buddhists who are eligible to avail concessions for Scheduled Castes in the State of Maharashtra under the scheme after paying 10% self-share and the bank approves 75% loan under Stand Up India scheme.
The subsidy amount is distributed to the applicant by check. The rest of the applicants have been informed to rectify the errors in their proposals and the entrepreneurs from the Scheduled Castes and Neo-Buddhists have been requested to submit a maximum number of applications for this scheme.
