The Disaster Management, Relief and Rehabilitation Department announces regulations for Ashadi Wari.
This year, the Ashadhi Wari ceremony of ten Palkhi ceremonies has been allowed. The Disaster Management, Relief and Rehabilitation Department has clarified that this year, 100 Warakaris will be able to participate in the departure ceremony for Dehu and Alandi and 50 Warakaris for the remaining eight ceremonies. Rules regarding Ashadi Wari at Pandharpur have been announced in this regard.
While organizing this year’s Ashadi Wari, care should be taken to ensure strict adherence to the instructions issued by the Central and State Governments from time to time for the prevention of Covid-19, said the Disaster Management, Relief and Rehabilitation Department. Mana’s palanquin ceremonies have been allowed to reach Wakhri by a special vehicle from the place of departure on foot and from there to Pandharpur at a distance of 1.5 km.
All the palanquin ceremonies are scheduled to arrive in Pandharpur on the tenth day and depart on the day of Purnima. Government Mahapuja and the visit of saints of Vitthal has been approved as of last year. Darshan will be closed for devotees during the Ashadi Yatra, continuing the routine of ‘Shree’. On the other hand, for the death anniversary of Saint Bhanudas Maharaj, 2 + 2 should be celebrated in the presence of a total of four persons. The procession of Vitthal’s padukas is allowed to be celebrated in a simple manner with 1-15 persons. A total of five persons, including HBP Deglukar Maharaj and four others, have been allowed for the Chakribhavan of HBP Shri Gurudas Maharaj Degalurkar as per the terms of medical examination. Along with HBP Shri Amalnerkar and HBP Kukurmundekar Maharaj, two persons each are being allowed as per the terms of medical examination.
For Mahadwar Kala Utsav and Shri. Sant Namdev Maharaj Samadhi Sohala with 1 + 10 persons is allowed to be celebrated with social distance and with due care. For the Ekadashi day chariot festival, instead of a chariot, a separate vehicle of the temple has been allowed to celebrate the festival with 10 dignitaries and five employees of the temple committee, including 15 persons, keeping a social distance and taking due care.
According to the criteria of the number of Warakaris, 40 Warakaris have been allowed to visit the feet of saints and for the palanquin of honour. This year, 40 numbers have been fixed in two buses and 20 in each bus. For Gopalkala, Bhajan and Kirtan have been allowed at Gopalpur in the ratio of 1 + 10.
This year 2 persons have been allowed for offerings of saints and padukas from Dashmi to Purnima for 6 days.
