Diploma in Engineering is now taught in the Marathi language.

 Direct Second Year Engineering Diploma Admission Eligibility Change – Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant.

Changes have been made in the eligibility requirements for admission to the second year engineering diploma courses for the academic year 2020-21. Students who have passed Class XII in any of the three subjects will now be admitted directly to the second year engineering diploma courses, Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant told a press conference at the ministry. 

Earlier, it was a condition that one should pass the Class XII examination in one of the compulsory subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology. It has now been changed to Physics / Mathematics / Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology / Biology / Informatics Practice / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subjects / Engineering in the academic year 2021-22. Such students will be given direct admission in the second year engineering diploma courses if they have passed the 12th standard in the subject. 

Maharashtra-Karnataka border candidates have easy access to diplomas

Diploma admission to candidates from Maharashtra Karnataka disputed border areas, Mr Samant said that the candidates from the disputed Maharashtra-Karnataka border area had to attach a certificate stating “Candidate is from the disputed border area” while filing the application for admission. Such candidates were facing difficulties in obtaining the above certificates from the competent authorities in the state of Karnataka due to the term “disputed border area”. Now the government has removed the word “disputed” from the certificate. This will make it easier for students from the border areas to get admission.

Children of Kashmiri Pandit / Kashmiri Hindu Family (Resident) Family included in Diploma Admission

In addition to Kashmiri IDPs in Diploma Educational Institutions, Kashmiri Pandits / Kashmiri Hindu families (residents) living in Kashmir valleys who have not been displaced from Kashmir and who have a domicile certificate, such candidates are reserved for admission.

Provision regarding admission of first-year vacancies in EWS category directly in second-year vacancies

The seats reserved for the first year Economic Backward Classes (EWS) of the Diploma Engineering courses which will remain vacant will also be reserved for the EWS for direct second year admission in the second year. This will lead to an increase in second-year admissions for EWS.

There is no Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to first-year diploma courses

10th and 12th class students will be evaluated. On the basis of these assessments and results, marks and certificates will be given by the board. Therefore, on the basis of this mark sheet, 10th and 12th marks will be considered while getting admission in postgraduate courses after 10th and 12th. Also, for the first time in the state, the option of learning an engineering degree in the Marathi language will be made available this year.

Non-subsidized Private Vocational Educational Institutions (Admission and Fees) Committee formed. 

The committee has been constituted under the Maharashtra Unsubsidized Private Vocational Educational Institutions (Admission and Fee Regulation) Act-2015 and is chaired by retired High Court Judge Vijay Lakhichand Achalia. Former Vice-Chancellor of Mumbai University Dr Vijay Khole, Chartered Accountant Manoj Chandak, Outlay Accountant Ratnakar Phadtare, Vocational Education Expert Dharmendra Mishra have been appointed as members of the committee. This committee has been appointed for the next five years.

अभियांत्रिकी पदविकेचे शिक्षण आता मराठी भाषेमध्ये . 

थेट द्वितीय वर्ष अभियांत्रिकी पदविका प्रवेश पात्रतेमध्ये बदल – उच्च व तंत्र शिक्षण मंत्री उदय सामंत. 

शैक्षणिक वर्ष २०२०-२१ साठी थेट द्वितीय वर्ष अभियांत्रिकी पदविका अभ्यासक्रमांच्या प्रवेशासाठी आवश्यक पात्रतेत बदल करण्यात आले आहेत. निश्चित केलेल्या विषयांपैकी कोणतेही तीन विषय घेऊन बारावी उत्तीर्ण झालेल्या विद्यार्थ्यांना आता  थेट द्वितीय वर्ष अभियांत्रिकी पदविका अभ्यासक्रमांमध्ये प्रवेश देण्यात येणार आहे,अशी माहिती उच्च व तंत्र शिक्षण मंत्री उदय सामंत यांनी मंत्रालयात झालेल्या पत्रकार परिषदेत दिली. 

यापूर्वी भौतिकशास्त्र, रसायनशास्त्र या अनिवार्य विषयासह गणित किंवा जीवशास्त्र यापैकी एक विषय घेऊन इयत्ता १२ वी परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण असले पाहिजे अशी अट होती. ती आता बदलून शैक्षणिक वर्ष २०२१-२२ च्या इ.बारावीमध्ये भौतिकशास्त्र/ गणित / रसायनशास्त्र / कॉम्प्युटर सायन्स/ इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स/ इन्फॉर्मेशन टेक्नोलॉजी/ जीवशास्त्र / इन्फॉर्मेटिक्स प्रॅक्टिस / बायोटेक्नॉलॉजी / टेक्निकल व्होकेशनल सब्जेक्ट / ॲग्रिकल्चर/ अभियांत्रिकी ग्राफिक्स/बिझनेस स्टडीज/ एंटरप्रीनरशिप या विषयांपैकी कोणतेही तीन विषय घेऊन बारावी उत्तीर्ण झाले असल्यास अशा विद्यार्थ्यांना थेट द्वितीय वर्ष अभियांत्रिकी पदविका अभ्यासक्रमांमध्ये प्रवेश देण्यात येणार आहे.  

महाराष्ट्र-कर्नाटक सीमाक्षेत्रातील उमेदवारांचा पदविका प्रवेश सुकर.  

महाराष्ट्र कर्नाटक वादग्रस्त सीमाक्षेत्रातील उमेदवारांना पदविका प्रवेश. श्री.सामंत म्हणाले, महाराष्ट्र-कर्नाटक वादग्रस्त सीमाक्षेत्रातील उमेदवारांना प्रवेश प्रक्रियेसाठी अर्ज भरताना संबंधित “उमेदवार विवादित सीमा क्षेत्रामधील आहे”, असा उल्लेख असणारे प्रमाणपत्र जोडावे लागत होते. अशा उमेदवारांना वरील प्रमाणपत्र कर्नाटक राज्यातील सक्षम अधिकाऱ्यांकडून प्राप्त करुन घेताना “विवादित सीमा क्षेत्रामधील” या शब्दामुळे अडचणी येत होत्या. आता शासनाने या प्रमाणपत्रातील “विवादित” (Disputed) शब्द काढून टाकलेला आहे. त्यामुळे सीमा भागातील विद्यार्थ्यांस प्रवेश घेणे सोपे होणार आहे.

काश्मिरी पंडित / काश्मिरी हिंदू कुटुंबे (निवासी) कुटुंबियाच्या पाल्यांचा पदविका प्रवेशामध्ये समावेश.

पदविका शिक्षण संस्थांमध्ये काश्मिरी विस्थापितांबरोबरच, काश्मीरमधून विस्थापित न होता काश्मीर खोऱ्यांमध्ये राहत असलेल्या काश्मिरी पंडित/काश्मिरी हिंदू कुटुंबे (निवासी) आणि ज्यांच्याकडे अधिवास प्रमाणपत्र आहे.अशा उमेदवारांना प्रवेशासाठी राखीव जागा ठेवण्यात आल्या आहेत.

प्रथम वर्षाच्या रिक्त राहिलेल्या ईडब्ल्यूएस प्रवर्गाच्या जागा थेट द्वितीय वर्षाच्या रिक्त जागांमध्ये ग्राह्य धरण्याबाबत तरतूद

पदविका अभियांत्रिकी अभ्यासक्रमांच्या ज्या प्रथम वर्षाच्या आर्थिक मागास प्रवर्गासाठी (ईडब्ल्यूएस) आरक्षित जागा रिक्त राहतील अशा जागा दुसऱ्या वर्षीदेखील थेट द्वितीय वर्षाच्या प्रवेशासाठीही ईडब्ल्यूएससाठी आरक्षित राहतील. त्यामुळे ईडब्ल्यूएससाठी द्वितीय वर्षाच्या प्रवेशासाठींच्या जागांमध्ये वाढ होईल. 

प्रथम वर्ष पदविका अभ्यासक्रमांच्या प्रवेशासाठी सामाईक प्रवेश परीक्षा (सीईटी) नाही

१० वी व १२ वीच्या विद्यार्थांचे मूल्यमापन करण्यात येणार आहे. या मूल्यांकन व निकालाच्या आधारे मंडळामार्फत गुणपत्रक व प्रमाणपत्र देण्यात येणार आहे. त्यामुळे या गुणपत्रकाच्या आधारेच दहावी व बारावीनंतरच्या पदविका अभ्यासक्रमांमध्ये प्रवेश घेताना १० वी  व १२ वीच्या गुणांचा विचार करण्यात येणार आहे. तसेच अभियांत्रिकी पदविकेचे शिक्षण मराठी भाषेमध्ये शिकण्याचा पर्याय यावर्षी राज्यात पहिल्यांदाच उपलब्ध करुन देण्यात येणार आहे.

विना अनुदानीत खाजगी व्यवसायिक शैक्षणिक संस्था (प्रवेश व शुल्क) समिती गठीत

महाराष्ट्र विना अनुदानीत खाजगी व्यवसायिक शैक्षणिक संस्था (प्रवेश व शुल्क विनियमन) अधिनियम -२०१५ नुसार समिती गठीत करण्यात आली असून यामध्ये उच्च न्यायालयाचे सेवानिवृत्त न्यायाधीश विजय लखीचंद आचलिया अध्यक्ष आहेत. मुंबई विद्यापीठाचे माजी कुलगुरु डॉ. विजय खोले, सनदी लेखापाल मनोज चांडक, परिव्यय लेखापाल रत्नाकर फडतरे, व्यवसायिक शिक्षण तज्ज्ञ धर्मेंद्र मिश्रा, यांची या समितीचे सदस्य म्हणून नियुक्ती करण्यात आली आहे. ही समिती पुढील पाच वर्षासाठी नियुक्त करण्यात आली आहे.
