Suryadatta Stri Shakti National Award presented by the Governor.
Visakha Subhedar, Urvashi Rautela, Nishigandha Wad, Kavita Raut, Palak Muchhal honoured.
At the hands of Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, 11 meritorious women including actress Visakha Subhedar, Urvashi Rautela and Nishigandha Wad, runner Kavita Raut, playback singer Palak Muchhal were given the Stree Shakti National Award at Raj Bhavan. The Suryadatta Stri Shakti Award was given at a function organized by Suryadatta Samuha Shikshan Sanstha at Raj Bhavan in Pune. “Motherhood is not just about being a mother and giving birth to a baby, but motherhood is about tolerance, love and compassion,” he said.
No matter how successful, prosperous and successful a person is, he always remembers his mother in times of happiness and sorrow, he said, adding that if one remembers mother, mother tongue and motherland, one can make more progress in one’s field.
Social activists Sister Lucy Kurien, Dr Swati Lodha, Aarti Dev, Adv. Vaishali Bhagwat, Trishali Jadhav and Sushma Chordia, Vice President, Suryadatta Group were also honoured with the Suryadatta Stri Shakti National Award.
At the beginning of the program, Dr Sanjay Chordia, President of Suryadatta Sanstha gave an introductory speech. Dr Nishigandha Wad, Visakha Subhedar and Vaishali Bhagwat responded to the reception. Palak Muchhal performed the song while Urvashi Rautela sang Garhwali.

राज्यपाल भगत सिंह कोश्यारी यांच्या हस्ते अभिनेत्री विशाखा सुभेदार, उर्वशी रौतेला व निशिगंधा वाड, धावपटू कविता राऊत, पार्श्वगायिका पलक मुच्छल यांसह 11 गुणवंत महिलांना राजभवन येथे स्त्री शक्ती राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार प्रदान करण्यात आले.
पुणे येथील सूर्यदत्त समूह शिक्षण संस्थेतर्फे राजभवन येथे आयोजित एका कार्यक्रमात सूर्यदत्त स्त्री शक्ती पुरस्कार देण्यात आले. मातृत्व म्हणजे केवळ आई होऊन बाळाला जन्म देणे नाही, तर मातृत्व म्हणजे सहनशीलता, प्रेम व कारुण्यभाव असे सांगताना स्त्रीशक्ती अद्भुत असल्याचे राज्यपालांनी आपल्या भाषणात सांगितले.
मनुष्य कितीही यशस्वी झाला, संपन्न झाला व यशवंत झाला तरीही सुख-दुःखाच्या प्रसंगी त्याला आईचीच आठवण येते, असे सांगून माता, मातृभाषा व मातृभूमीचे स्मरण ठेवल्यास प्रत्येकाला आपापल्या क्षेत्रात अधिक प्रगती करता येईल, असे राज्यपालांनी सांगितले.
यावेळी सामाजिक कार्यकर्त्या सिस्टर ल्युसी कुरियन, डॉ स्वाती लोढा, आरती देव, ॲड. वैशाली भागवत, तृशाली जाधव तसेच सूर्यदत्ता समूहाच्या उपाध्यक्ष सुषमा चोरडिया यांनादेखील सूर्यदत्त स्त्री शक्ती राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार देऊन सन्मानित करण्यात आले.
कार्यक्रमाच्या सुरुवातीला सूर्यदत्त संस्थेचे अध्यक्ष डॉ.संजय चोरडिया यांनी प्रास्ताविक केले. डॉ निशिगंधा वाड, विशाखा सुभेदार व वैशाली भागवत यांनी सत्काराला उत्तर दिले. पलक मुच्छल यांनी गीत सादर केले तर उर्वशी रौतेला यांनी गढवाली गाणे गायले.
