Planning should be done so that the industries in our respective districts will continue even in the third wave – Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s instructions to the Divisional Commissioner, Collector.

Preparations should be made with the help of industries for accommodation and travel of workers.

All the District Collectors of the State should convene a meeting of the big entrepreneurs in the district and guide them in the preparations to start the industry in the third wave. Entrepreneurs who can arrange for workers to stay on the premises of their industry should plan for it on time and those who cannot afford it should find such a place in the vicinity of the company and arrange for workers to stay there. In this regard, the District Collector should provide necessary assistance to them, such instructions were given by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today.

He was speaking at a time when the Chief Minister was reviewing the Corona situation through telecommunications with all the District Collectors, all Divisional Commissioners, Municipal Commissioners and Police Officers in the state. The meeting was attended by Health Minister Rajesh Tope, Chief Secretary Sitaram Kunte, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Ashish Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary Vikas Kharge, all Divisional Commissioners, Collectors, Municipal Commissioners, office bearers of the task force set up for Corona, office bearers of Child Task Force and other dignitaries.

This period between the two waves of the corona is important for restraint and discipline. Although the number of corona patients has come down during this period and we are starting some financial transactions, we need to proceed very cautiously, he said, adding that in order for the industry and economic movement to continue, workers need to be confined to their workplaces and homes.

Strictly follow the rules

The second wave of the corona has not yet completely subsided. But in this situation, taking a calculated risk, we are slowly starting some financial ventures. In doing so, as a precautionary measure, the restrictions imposed will not remain on paper, they will be strictly enforced, there will be no crowds anywhere, meetings will not be held, the Chief Minister said.

Now it is raining, during which other epidemics occur, including the outbreak of the coronavirus. This is also the time when our festivals begin. The Chief Minister also said that all these situations need to be handled very carefully. The Chief Minister also reviewed the district-wise oxygen readiness.

Raise awareness to take a second dose of the vaccine

Asha-Anganwadis and health workers should create awareness in the villages and encourage all those who have taken the first dose of the Corona vaccine to take the second dose in time. Care should be taken to ensure that this information remains empirical (both when the first dose of the vaccine was taken).

The Chief Minister reviewed the situation after the measures taken in Kolhapur, Satara, Sangli, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts where positivity rates were high. The district collector said that the positivity rate was relatively low in all the districts, adding that efforts were being made to increase the number of RT PCR tests, reduce home segregation, speed up institutional treatment and increase vaccination. Private hospitals should order increased doses of vaccines: Mr Tope

Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that increasing tests and reducing home segregation was important for districts with high positivity rates. He pointed out that vaccination in the state could be further accelerated if private hospitals in the state asked for an increased dosage of the vaccine. He directed the district leaders to take care of the technical and qualitative quality of the oxygen, get the permit to work, and do all the work in a scientific manner.

He further said that the health department has issued guidelines for private hospitals regarding the rate of corona treatment. The District Collector should ensure that compliance is maintained, auditors should be appointed, rules regarding containment zone should be strictly followed, the vaccine should not be wasted, citizens who have taken the first dose should take the second dose, Mahatma Jotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana District Collector He also suggested a regular review every fortnight. He also said that if these meetings were held regularly, it would be a great relief to the people to settle their grievances. He reiterated the suggestion for all districts to do fire, structural and electrical. The districts should upload the information of Corona victims in the form of daily updates (real-time data). Mr Kunte, Chief Secretary, gave some suggestions on how to take necessary steps to reduce the rate of positivity, while the expert doctors of the Task Force also provided guidance.
