Green signal for ‘Shikshan Sevak’ recruitment. About six thousand posts will be filled through PAVITRA.
About 6,100 Shikshan Sevak in the state has been given the green signal to fill their posts. The recruitment process has gained momentum due to the initiative of School Education Minister Prof. Varsha Gaikwad. The process will be implemented transparently through the PAVITRA system for quality candidates.
Recruitment of teachers from all local bodies / private management in the state in primary, upper primary, secondary, higher secondary schools as well as in government and aided teacher diploma schools (DL Ed College) subsidized, partially subsidized and unsubsidized and declared eligible for the grant. All candidates should be given equal opportunity of selection and in view of the selection of high-quality candidates for the post of ‘Shikshan Sevak’ recruitment of ‘Shikshan Sevak’ should be done on the basis of marks obtained in “Aptitude and Intelligence Test” (TAIT) as well as highest marks in “Aptitude and Intelligence Test” in private educational institutions. Candidates will be interviewed and a final selection will be made on that basis.
The recruitment process is being implemented for about 12,070 posts of teachers through the PAVITRA system based on the marks in the Aptitude and Intelligence Test (TAIT) examination conducted in December 2017. So far, the process of appointing 5,970 education workers has already been completed in February 2020.
Due to the outbreak of Kovid-19, the recruitment process was put on hold as per the ruling of the Finance Department that no department other than the Department of Public Health and Medical Education should recruit new posts. However, the school education minister Prof. Varsha Gaikwad has consistently followed up with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar to exclude the recruitment process through the ‘PAVITRA’ system. The way is open for recruitment of education workers.
The recruitment process for the posts of Shikshan Sevak will be completed soon by the School Education Department following the prescribed procedure.
