Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today directed all the district collectors in the state to interact with the entrepreneurs in their districts and make a thorough plan so that the industries would continue in the third wave of the corona. Large companies should make arrangements to accommodate their workers in their industrial premises and those who are unable to do so should be assisted by the District Collector to ensure field residential area for the workers of such industries in coordination with the companies. The Chief Minister also gave such instructions. While trying to prevent the third wave from coming to the state under any circumstances, unfortunately, if the third wave comes, the industries in the state should continue and through it, the economic cycle and life cycle should be maintained, he said.

This means that even if you get vaccinated, you need to strictly adhere to the Corona Prevention Rules, not just for now, but for the next one or two years. The central government has also issued similar instructions to all the states regarding the third wave. The state currently produces 1300 MT of oxygen. In the second wave, our demand increased to 1750 MT, which means we imported about 500 to 550 MT of oxygen from other states. But now the number of patients in the third wave is estimated to be up to 60 lakh. He also estimated that Maharashtra would need 4,000 to 4,500 MT of oxygen per day. He also suggested that in view of this situation, oxygen production in the state should be expedited and oxygen reserves in the state should be filled to full capacity. The Chief Minister also directed expediting the production of oxygen in order to generate 3,000 MT of oxygen per day in the state in any case.

Strictly enforce corona prevention rules.

Under no circumstances should public places be crowded, people walking on the streets should wear masks, declare the area where the number of patients is increasing as a containment zone and strictly abide by the corona prevention rules, focus on villages and hamlets. The CM also suggested that the concept of a corona-free village should work well and if there is any change in the coronavirus, genome sequencing should be done.

Don’t let hard work get in the way.

Although the state has set a new record by vaccinating eight lakh people a day, vaccination availability is limited due to delays in vaccination, with some citizens not even getting the first dose, the growing number of patients, the emergence of the Delta virus and the third wave could be dangerous. The Chief Minister also appealed not to let waterfall on the hard work done and also testified that the government stands firmly behind all of us for all these works. He also thanked the entrepreneurs for their cooperation in producing oxygen as well as in keeping the industry afloat.

We have to be vigilant for the third wave – Balasaheb Thorat

Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat said that measures would have to be taken faster for the possible third wave of the corona. He expressed concern that the number of patients was increasing in some districts. Expressing satisfaction over the plan initiated by the Chief Minister to start the business in the third wave, Mr Thorat appealed to the entrepreneurs to vaccinate their workers from the 25 per cent quota of private hospitals. He said that there was a need to increase the production and reserves of oxygen in the state

Department of Industries in touch with industries in the state – Subhash Desai

Industry Minister Subhash Desai said that the industry is in constant touch with the entrepreneurs of the state and plans are being made to keep the industry afloat in the third wave of the corona. He said that meetings have been held with the CII and other departmental organizations in the state and the government understands their difficulties. Stating that the state has consistently demanded that the Center increase the dose of vaccination, Mr Desai appealed to the companies to purchase the vaccine from the CSR fund of a private hospital and vaccinate their workers as well as the citizens of the surrounding areas.

The Divisional Commissioner informed about the measures being taken through coordination and communication to keep the industry running smoothly in the department. Pradip Vyas presented the Corona status in the state. Coordinator Vikas Kharge informed the audience about the work of the task force which has been set up for industries in the state. He also briefed the meeting about the reactions he gave after interacting with the business world and their difficulties.
