As per the directions of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, the decision of the Finance Department to fill the posts of ‘MPSC’ approved by the High-Level Committee has been issued.
Of the vacancies in various departments of the State Government to be filled by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission, including the vacancies permitted by the Sub-Committee, permission has been granted as a special matter to fill the vacancies sanctioned by the High-Level Secretary Committee. The ruling was issued on July 30, just two days after a meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on July 28. In order to fill these vacancies, the concerned departments have prepared a point list, with proper approval, and sent a proposal to the MPSC by September 30. 
A meeting was held on July 28 in the committee room of the Deputy Chief Minister under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar to review the recruitment of MPSC posts in the state government. The meeting was attended by Minister of State for General Administration Dattatraya Bharane, Additional Chief Secretary for General Administration Sujata Sounik, Principal Secretary for Accounts and Treasury Nitin Gadre, Principal Secretary for Law and Justice Neeraj Dhote, Maharashtra Public Service Commission Mumbai Secretary Swati Mhase-Patil. This important decision regarding the recruitment of MPS was taken at that meeting. Immediately after that, this ruling has been issued.
Due to the Corona crisis, only posts in the public health and medical education departments were previously approved. As per the Government Resolutions dated 4th May 2020 and 24th June 2021, there were restrictions on the recruitment process for vacancies in other departments of the State. However, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had directed to fill the vacancies in various departments of the state government to be filled by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission as a special matter. He had instructed to take care that no injustice would be done to any component of the state considering all the decisions of the court while filling these posts. This action has been taken accordingly. In order to fill these vacancies, the concerned departments have been asked to send a proposal for vacancies to the MPSC by September 30, paving the way for filling the vacancies of the MPSC. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has announced to recruit more than 15,500 posts in the state. That process has just begun.
