In his congratulatory message, the Deputy Chief Minister said that Lovlin Borgohen had already secured the Olympic medal in the 69 kg weight category of Olympic boxing. Despite losing to world champion Busenaz Surmenelin in the semifinals, she put up a bitter fight. Every Indian is proud of her hard work and success. The Olympic medal won by Lovlin will give new impetus to Indian boxing. Lovelin has made history by winning the third Olympic medal for the country after Vijender Singh won the boxing Olympics in 2008 and Mary Kom won the boxing in 2012.
