Persevere to defeat Corona, exercise restraint and discipline – CM’s appeal.

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today announced that passengers who have taken both doses of vaccine and 14 days after taking the second dose will be allowed to travel on suburban trains from August 15, 2021.

The Chief Minister, while wishing a happy Independence Day on the seventh day, appealed to the citizens to exercise restraint, not to crowd, and to keep in mind the determination to defeat the Corona by following the Corona Prevention Rules.

QR code on photo passes
Passengers who have smartphones can download the Railway Pass app and those who do not have a smartphone can take photo passes from the municipal ward office in the city as well as from suburban railway stations. He also said that these local travel passes will have QR codes.

Reach out to disaster victims quickly
Maharashtra faced a major natural calamity in July. Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sangli, Kolhapur were hit by heavy rains and floods. Landslides at Vikhroli, Chembur. Develop a permanent policy for flood and distressed areas
The Chief Minister clarified that a comprehensive permanent policy would be formulated for the citizens of flood-prone areas.

50% reservation limit should be raised
He requested the Prime Minister to relax the 50 per cent reservation limit and said that the role of the Center was not yet clear. The Chief Minister said that the Center had approved the 102nd Amendment proposal but the Prime Minister had asked the Prime Minister to lift the 50 per cent reservation limit and give reservation rights to the state.

The fight with Corona continues
Stating that 20 lakh people have been affected in the first wave of Corona and 40 lakh people in the second wave, the Chief Minister clarified that the state government has made preparations in this regard. He informed that the number of 2 test laboratories has now gone up to 600 and the number of isolated beds has been increased to more than 4.5 lakh. He informed that 34 thousand 507 ICU beds and 1 lakh 10 thousand 683 oxygen beds are available in the state. He also said that we have 13500 ventilators.

Genome Sequencing Lab
Mumbai Municipal Corporation has started Genome Sequencing Lab to treat the virus in a timely manner considering the rapid change in its incarnation. The Chief Minister also said that this will be useful for the state.

Oxygen limit
The state’s oxygen production is still 1300 MT per day. Last time, the second wave of corona received 1700/1800 MT of oxygen per day. Even if we implement an oxygen self-sufficiency policy, there are immediate limitations to oxygen production. Other states are now seeing an increase in outbreaks. The Chief Minister clarified that if there is an increase in the number of patients in the state, there will be a lockdown.

In some places restrictions are relaxed but
Corona infection is still on the rise in some districts of the state like Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, Raigad, Kolhapur, Satara, Ahmednagar, Beed, Pune, Sangli. We are implementing a concept like Corona Free Village. Many have even begun to take the right steps with the list. Entrepreneurs, companies should change their working hours and call workers in shifts, he said, adding that possible companies should accommodate their workers on their campuses.

Decision after the meeting of the taskforce
The Chief Minister also clarified that the decision will be taken after discussing with the task force about restaurants, malls and places of worship. The people of Maharashtra have cooperated with the state government so far, which is why the Mumbai model, Maharashtra was appreciated all over the world. He also said that all the credit for this goes to the people of the state and not to me.

Vaccinate citizens
4 crore 63 lakh 76 thousand citizens were vaccinated in the state. The number of citizens who took the first dose is 3 crore 45 lakh 30 thousand 719 while the number of citizens who took the second dose is 1 crore 18 lakh 46 thousand 107. The Chief Minister also said that Maharashtra is number one in giving the first dose. “The state has a huge vaccination capacity. We can vaccinate eight to ten lakh people a day, but given the limited availability of vaccines, the mask is our real protector today,” he said.
