Will create trained manpower to handle the Oxygen Plant – Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh
In the potential third wave of the corona; An oxygen plant is being set up in the district to alleviate the shortage of oxygen. Taking into account the experience of the previous Corona Wave, District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh today directed to prepare the trained manpower by training the officers and staff of the Oxygen Plant besides making necessary arrangements so that no patient would be deprived of oxygen in the third wave.
The training of the concerned Medical Superintendent and Pharmaceutical Officer of Oxygen Generation Plant was organized at the Collectorate, while the Collector Dr Deshmukh was speaking. Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Ayush Prasad, former Deputy Director and Covid Coordinator Dr Nitin Bilorikar, ZP Additional Chief Executive Officer Shri. Shendge, District Surgeon Dr Ashok Nandapurkar, District Medical Superintendent and Pharmaceutical Officer were present.
District Collector Dr Deshmukh said the second wave of corona had to face various difficulties due to a lack of oxygen. An oxygen plant is being set up in the district to ensure that there is no shortage of oxygen in the third wave. Work is underway to form a team of trained officers and staff for this oxygen plant. Following the instructions given by the state government and the task force regarding the oxygen plant, many facilities related to Covid have been constructed in a year and a half. We should all take care that no patient will be deprived of oxygen in a possible third wave considering the experience of the previous corona wave, said the Collector. Deshmukh said.
