Disbursement of Rs.1000 crore under Pradhan Mantri Matruvandana Yojana.

The implementation of Pradhan Mantri Matruvandana Yojana started in the state in November 2017 and so far more than Rs 1,000 crore has been disbursed, according to a press release issued by the Public Health Department. Pradhan Mantri Matruvandana Yojana

Under this scheme, Rs. 89 crore 48 lakh 59 thousand has been distributed in Pune district, Rs. 37 crore 14 lakh 42 thousand in Satara district and Rs. 39 crore 62 thousand in Solapur district. Out of the target of 2 lakh, 6 thousand 420 beneficiaries for Pune district for the year 2021-22, 2 lakh 8 thousand 166 or 101 per cent beneficiaries have been registered on the portal.

Pradhan Mantri Matruvandana Yojana is aimed at improving the health of pregnant women and lactating mothers by encouraging them to follow a healthy diet and improve the health of their newborns and reduce and control maternal and child mortality.

For the effective implementation of this scheme, the Central Government has organized a special week from 1st to 7th September 2021. The Health Department has also appealed to all eligible beneficiaries to avail the benefits of this scheme during this week by handing over the documents of Asha Karyakarta, ANM, Anganwadi Karyakarti to the beneficiary and her husband’s Aadhar Card, Aadhar Affiliated Bank, Post Account, Post Account, Maternal Care Card, Birth Registration Certificate etc..
