Maharashtra is at the forefront of setting up a state-of-the-art regulatory system through the Department of Transport to take action against drivers violating traffic rules. This system will be useful for preventing road accidents and loss of life, said Chief Minister Shri Uddhav Thackeray here today.
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray distributed 76 state-of-the-art vehicles to the regional offices of the state transport department at the MMRDA ground, Bandra Kurla Complex. Minister of Transport Adv. Anil Parab, Minister of State for Transport Satej alias Bunty D. Patil, Additional Chief Secretary of Transport Department Ashish Kumar Singh, Transport Commissioner Avinash Dhakne etc. were present. The Chief Minister also inspected the vehicles.
The Chief Minister said that just like many people lost their lives in the Corona epidemic, the number of victims in high-speed road accidents is in the thousands. Failure to comply with the rules, despite appeals not to drive at high speeds, increases the number of accidents. To curb this, vehicles equipped with up-to-date machinery have been introduced and through this, the state of Maharashtra is proud to be at the forefront in setting up state-of-the-art machinery. Thackeray expressed this at the time.
Expressing satisfaction that the Department of Transport is working on an updated system, the Chief Minister hoped that the use of this system would definitely reduce the number of accidents and prevent loss of life. Thackeray expressed.
When there is no reason, the lives of speeding drivers and passengers are lost. Innocent civilians are often killed in car accidents. It is the duty of the government to save them without any loss of life. The government is trying to reduce the death toll from the Corona epidemic or accident. Mr Thackeray also said that the government will always cooperate to make the airspeed squad of the transport department more capable.
Minister of Transport Shri. Anil Parab said that the guidelines of the Central and State Governments have been laid down to reduce the number of road accidents in the country. Unfortunately, the number of accidents in Maharashtra had increased over the last year. To reduce this, the state government decided to provide 76 vehicles equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to the airspeed squads. The number of accidents and unruly traffic will be brought under control through these vehicles. Maharashtra will succeed in preventing accidents in the future. Vehicles will also be used to bring down the state’s position in case of accidents, said Mr Parab. Action will be taken against speeding and unruly drivers through the airspeed squad.
