Two thousand injections will be available for rural areas on 22nd April
Zilla Parishad is going to buy injections worth Rs50 lakh.
The Zilla Parishad has decided to purchase injections worth Rs 50 lakh to curb the shortage of injections and the black market for the treatment of coronary heart disease. A total of 12,000 injections have been procured from Cipla Company, out of which 2,000 injections will be supplied after April 22. Cipla Company will provide injections at the rate of Rs. 1464 to the Zilla Parishad. The injections will be supplied to the Zilla Parishad in phases and as required. Zilla Parishad President Nirmala Pansare and Health Chairperson Pramod Kakade said that the injections would be used only for patients in rural areas and would be controlled by the Taluka Health Officer. The media statement released by Serum Insitute states that next two months, Serum Insitute will address the limited capacity by scaling up vaccine production. Going ahead, 50 % of companies capacity will be served to the Government of India’s vaccination program and 50 % remaining capacity for State Government and Private Hospitals.
Following the Government of India’s directives, Serum Insitute announced prices of the vaccine Covildshild will be available for the State Government for Rs400and Private Hospitals Rs.600per dose Considering the global vaccine prices Serum Insitute ensures that the price of their vaccine is affordable in comparison with other vaccines in the world. The American vaccine is costing approx more than Rs 1500 per dose and the Russian and Chines vaccine is costing approx more than Rs.750 per dose.
The media statement further states that ‘’ owing to the complexity the urgency of the situation it is challenging to supply it independently to each corporate entity The Serum Insitute urges all corporates and private individuals to access the vaccine through state facilitated machinery and private health systems. Post 4-5 months the vaccine will be made available in retail and free trade.
11042 patients in the district free from corona
In Pune district, for the second day in a row, the number of corona-free patients has increased as compared to new patients. Today 10393 new patients have been found in the district. The total number of patients in the city during the day is 5,138. Today, 112 patients have died, including 55 from Pune city.
Today, the city has the highest number of 6208 people released from Corona, 2206 in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Zilla Parisha 1389, and 523 from municipal council areas, and 122 in cantonment board areas. Today, out of the total number of patients in Pune city, there are 2563 Zilla Parishad working area in Pimpri-Chinchwad and 2062 patients
