Maharashtra has given more than 11 lakh doses of corona vaccine in a single day.
Maharashtra is the first in the country to provide both doses of vaccine.
As many as 11 lakh 91 thousand 921 people have been vaccinated till 7 pm today (September 4) in the Corona Preventive Vaccination Campaign. The total number of doses given so far in this vaccination campaign in the state has gone up to 62.7 million. Following Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra has achieved this record.
On August 21, Maharashtra had recorded the highest number of vaccinated 11 lakh 4 thousand 464 citizens in a single day. In the vaccination sessions held today (September 4), 11 lakh 91 thousand 921 people have been vaccinated till 7 pm, this figure is likely to increase till late at night. This is a record for the vaccination program to date and it is the result of the hard work of all the components of the health system, said Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Public Health, Dr Pradip Vyas said.

A total of 6 crores 15 lakh 16 thousand 137 vaccines have been given in Maharashtra to date, of which Maharashtra is number one in the country in giving the second dose of vaccine.
According to a joint report released today, 1 crore 71 lakh people in Maharashtra have been vaccinated with the second vaccine.
