Public Works (Public Enterprises) Minister Eknath Shinde announces relief from vehicle tax for Ganesh devotees going to Konkan.
The facilities of devotees going to Konkan for Ganeshotsav were reviewed in the meeting.
Public Works (Public Enterprises) Minister Eknath Shinde has announced that all necessary precautions have been taken to avoid inconvenience to Ganesha devotees going to Konkan for Ganeshotsav. Mr Shinde has also been instructed to make stickers available to the vehicles of Ganesh devotees immediately for this road tax concession.
A meeting was organized under the chairmanship of Public Works (Public Enterprises) Minister Eknath Shinde to provide the necessary facilities for the devotees going to Konkan during the upcoming Ganeshotsav.
In order not to inconvenience the devotees going for Ganeshotsav in Konkan, all the roads and highways leading to Konkan need to be in good condition. To facilitate the journey of devotees, Panvel, Pen, Mahad Road, Satara, Bhuinj, Shendre as well as Karad-Patan Chiplun Highway to Konkan, Mumbai-Goa Highway, Wakan-Pali-Khopoli Road, Vagde-Kudal Road in Sindhudurg, Ambenli Ghat, Tamhini Ghat, Minister Shri Eknath Shinde also directed to complete the remaining work of filling the potholes on Ratnagiri-Savarde road in two days.
While announcing to give concession in vehicle tax to the vehicles of Ganesh devotees going to Konkan like every year, Mr Shinde also instructed to make stickers available for these vehicles immediately. Traffic congestion will be reduced by allocating more manpower at Mumbai-Pune, Pune-Satara, Mumbai-Goa highway and keeping separate lanes for Ganesh devotees’ vehicles.
