State Common Entrance Exam Schedule Announced; Examination will be held between 15th September to 10th October – Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant.
The State Common Entrance Test (CET) for the academic year 2021-22 will be held from September 15 to October 10, 2021, Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant said at a press conference at the Ministry.
Higher and Technical Education Minister Shri. Samant said that a total of 8 lakh 55 thousand 879 students will appear for the examinations of all courses. 226 centres have been fixed for these entrance examinations. The number of centres outside the state has also been increased this year and efforts are underway to increase the number of examination centres.
A maximum of 50,000 computers per day has been provided for these examinations. Out of which 25,000 computers, a number of students according to the syllabus and number of sessions will be decided according to the options given by the students. This entrance examination will be conducted in compliance with the rules and regulations announced by the state government regarding Covid-19. Students will also be allowed to travel to Mumbai on the day of the exam. However, the students should keep the entrance ticket for the local train ticket with them, said Mr Samant.
86 per cent of students will get examination centres as per the first option and 14 per cent of students will be provided examination centres as per the remaining options. The admission registration process will start in the last week of September and the course wise admission process will start after October 15, said Mr Samant.
The dates of the CET exam are as follows
The examinations for Master of Computer Applications, Master of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Master of Architecture, Master of Physical Education, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Education will be held on September 15, 2021.
The examinations for Master of Physical Education, Master of Business Administration and Management Studies will be held on 16th, 17th and 18th September 2021.
Bachelor of Engineering / Technology (B.E / B.TECH), Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm / Pharm.D), Agriculture and Allied courses will be held from 20th September 2021 to 1st October 2021.
Bachelor of Hotel Management Catering Technology, Master of Education, Bachelor of Education and Master of Education, Bachelor of Law (5 years), Bachelor of Physical Education examinations will be held on 3rd October 2021.
Bachelor of Physical Education will be held on 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th October 2021. Also Bachelor of Law- (3 years) 4th and 5th October 2021, Bachelor of Education General and Special, these examinations will be held on 6th and 7th October 2021.
Bachelor of Fine Arts will be held on 9th and 10th October 2021, informed Mr Samant.
The results of the exam will be announced by October 20 and the academic year 2021-22 will start from November. At the beginning of this academic year, it will be decided whether to start online or offline by looking at the corona situation in the state at that time.
Under the guidance of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, the government has decided to increase the annual income limit of students and their parents to Rs. This was also stated by Mr Samant.
