Proposed revision of prevailing criteria for selection of The State Adarsh Shikshak Puraskar.
A proposal to revise the prevailing criteria for the selection of The State Adarsh Shikshak Puraskar is under consideration by the Government. A decision will be taken soon and action will be taken for the selection of the state ideal teacher award. This has been revealed by the school education department.
At present, The State Adarsh Shikshak Puraskars are given as per the criteria of the government decision dated July 21, 2016. Due to the closure of schools during the Corona period, it was not possible to rate teachers on many of the current criteria, the education department said.
The State Adarsh Shikshak Puraskar for the year 2018-19 has been announced by the Government Resolution dated 22/08/2019 and a total of 107 teachers have been given the award.
The teacher selection process for the State Adarsh Shikshak Puraskar begins in July of each year. But since March 2020, the entire education system in the state has come to a standstill due to the Corona epidemic. Therefore, it was not possible to start the process of selection of teachers for the award for the year 2019-20 in time, informed the Joint Secretary of the Education Department.
