JSW Company MoU with State Government for Rs. 35,500 crores.
The flow of investment in the state’s industrial sector is increasing day by day and today the reputed JSW company signed an investment agreement with the state government worth about Rs 35,500 crore.
As per today’s agreement, JSW will work in the field of hydropower and wind power. The MoU was signed in the hall of Industry Minister Subhash Desai. Additional Chief Secretary Industries Baldev Singh, Development Commissioner Harshdeep Kamble, MIDC Chief Executive Officer Dr P Anbalgan and JSW Joint Director Prashant Jain, Business Head Abhay Yagnik and Pravin Puri were present on the occasion.
A hydropower project with a capacity of about one and a half thousand megawatts will be started in Igatpuri taluka of Nashik district. The project will be on Bhivali Dam. About Rs, 5,000 crores will be invested for this. This will provide direct and indirect employment to 5,000 people.
Kolhapur, Solapur, Osmanabad, Satara district 5 thousand megawatt capacity wind power project will be started. The project will be on 1879 hectares of land. About Rs, 30,000 crores will be invested in this.
The two MoUs signed today will create thousands of direct and indirect jobs. Industry Minister Subhash Desai expressed confidence that the state government would extend all possible cooperation to the company to start the project.
