Dedication of Oxygen Plant for Tarachand Ramnath Hospital on Friday.
The inauguration ceremony of Oxygen Plant for Seth Tarachand Ramnath Ayurvedic Hospital in Pune will be held on Friday (September 17) at 4.30 pm under the auspices of Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra Mr Bhagat Singh Koshyari. The plant has been set up by the Shivajinagar-Pune branch of the Bharat Vikas Parishad at a cost of about Rs 40 lakh. Mandar Jog, president of the Shivajinagar-Pune branch, said that the event was organized on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. Due to the Corona rules, the inauguration ceremony will be for invitees only.
Considering the plight of oxygen-deficient patients during the Corona period, the plant will be useful to about a hundred patients at a time with the aim of preventing oxygen shortage. During the Corona period, various activities were implemented by Bharat Vikas Parishad in the last one and a half years. It includes three blood donation camps (blood donation of about one thousand people), face shield for about 2 thousand doctors, distribution of more than 10 thousand sanitiser bottles, distribution of about 2 thousand grocery kits for the needy, health-friendly scheme for counselling. For the last 15 years, a permanent artificial foot implant system has been introduced in Pune on behalf of Bharat Vikas Parishad and about 20,000 needy people have benefited from it. The Bharat Vikas Parishad has been working all over the country since 1963 on the basis of the triad of service, dedication and cooperation with the vision of a Disability Free India.
