Public Works Minister Ashok Chavan informed that 5 acres of land owned by the Public Works Department have been transferred to the Revenue and Forest Department for setting up of Super Multispeciality Hospital at Mauje Vatul in Rajapur taluka of Ratnagiri district.
A super multispeciality hospital will be set up at Mauje Vatul in Rajapur taluka through the health department. For this, a proposal was received for the site of the Public Works Department adjacent to Mumbai-Goa National Highway No. 66. According to a meeting held between the Public Works Department and Health, Revenue and Forest Department officials, it was recommended to transfer 5 acres of land in Group No. 866 to the Health Department for this hospital. Accordingly, Public Works Minister Ashok Chavan has decided to hand over the land to the Revenue and Forest Department.
This decision has taken an important step towards setting up a Super Multispeciality Hospital at Mauje Vatul in Rajapur taluka of Ratnagiri district. This hospital with modern treatment facilities will further strengthen the public health system of Ratnagiri district. Moreover, as the hospital is located on a busy national highway like Mumbai-Goa, it may be possible to provide timely treatment to the injured.
