Committee reconstituted to approve grants for artisan capital and folk art shows. 
The committee has been reconstituted to approve grants for the capital and art shows of folk artists in the state. The Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs has issued a ruling in this regard.
Grants are provided to the art troupes for capital expenditure and art shows in order to preserve all the folk art in Maharashtra, to make the folk art known to the next generation and to encourage folk art to preserve all the traditional folk art in Maharashtra as a whole. The committee has been reconstituted by the government for the approval of this grant.
The committee will be chaired by the Director of the Directorate of Cultural Affairs and the Joint Director will be the Member Secretary. Maya Khutegaonkar, Sudhir Kalingan, Dinesh Gore, Abhay Terdale, Purushottam Bondre, Alankar Tembhurne, Sureshkumar Vairalkar, Ambadas Taware, Vilas Sonawane, Mohit Narayangaonkar will be the members of this committee. This committee will be functioning for the next three years from the date of the ruling issued on September 8, 2021, or until the committee is reconstituted.
