Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar congratulates the Kumar-Kumari Khokho team on winning National Medal
Ajit Pawar has congratulated both Maharashtra’s Kumar and Kumari teams for winning the 40th Kumar-Kumari National Khokho Championship for the seventh time in a row at Bhubaneswar. The success achieved by the Khokho teams of Maharashtra has proved that the Khokho movement in the state is moving in the right direction. Inspired by this success, more and more youngsters will turn to Khokho. The Deputy Chief Minister has expressed confidence that they will take the sports movement of Maharashtra forward.
In his congratulatory message, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar says that Maharashtra’s Kumar Sangh has won 32 times so far, while Kumari Sangh has won 23 times. Maharashtra players also performed well in the 40th National Championship. Aditya Kudale of Ahmednagar bagged the ‘Veer Abhimanyu’ award, while Ashwini Shinde of Osmanabad bagged the ‘Janaki’ award for her outstanding performance. While Maharashtra’s Vrushali Bhoye was the best attacker in the tournament, Kolhapur’s Vaishnavi Powar was the best defender. She has also been specially congratulated by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
