On the occasion of ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’, a continuous vaccination campaign is being carried out for 75 consecutive hours from September 30 through Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. All vaccination centres will be operational during this period. A special 75-hour vaccination campaign should be carried out in the same manner in the Pune Municipal Corporation area and rural areas. Out of 13 talukas in the district, 6 talukas should be vaccinated for 75 hours and the remaining 7 talukas for 75 hours. Treatment arrangements for non-covid patients

Considering the declining number of Covid infections in the district, Deputy Chief Minister Pawar directed to facilitate separate treatment for patients with other ailments in urban and rural areas. In rural areas, one hospital should be used for separate covid infections and another for the treatment of other patients. Necessary facilities should be created in the primary health centre in the taluka where there is only one hospital. If necessary, funds will be made available through the district planning committee, he added. Mr Pawar also directed that quality should be given priority while appointing nurses.

Covid Treatment Protocol through the Office of the Deputy Chief Minister.

The covid treatment protocol for all doctors and hospitals has been transferred to the health department through the CSR received in coordination with the Deputy Chief Minister’s Office. This has provided quality training to doctors and nurses. The state of Jammu and Kashmir will also use the protocol. Its study is underway at the level of National Health Mission Commissioners of other 9 states. Mr Pawar informed that the link can be made available to the municipality and district administration.

Availability of funds for syringes

Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation procured 1 lakh syringes due to a shortage of syringes for vaccines received through CSR. The Pune Municipal Corporation should also provide syringes as required. Funding will be made available through the District Planning Committee if required for vaccination in rural areas. The Deputy Chief Minister also said that special efforts should be made to ensure that the pace of vaccination is maintained and the citizens get the second dose of the same vaccine as the first dose. He expressed satisfaction over the control of covid infection due to vaccination. He also appealed to the citizens to use the mask even if they have taken two doses of the vaccine.

At the meeting, the people’s representatives and members of the Covid Task Force made some suggestions while expressing satisfaction over the reduction of Covid infection in the district.
