Governor flags off State-wide Rally to promote blood donation

Mumbai. : Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari welcomed the Blood Donation Mahayagya Rally at Raj Bhavan and organized a blood donation camp in all the districts of the state to create awareness about blood donation.

Members of the state-wide rally organized by Devta Life Foundation in Nagpur, led by Foundation President Kishor Bawne, met the Governor today and briefed him about the Blood Donation Mahayagya Rally.

Trustee Nilima Bawne, General Secretary of Sahakar Bharati Maharashtra, Vivek Jugade, Sanjay Pendse, Sarika Pendse, Photographer Shekhar Soni were present on this occasion.

Kishor Bawne, president of the organization, presented the background information of the entire rally to the Governor. Kishor Bawne and Trustee of the organization Neelima Bawne felicitated the Governor with certificates and honours.

In today’s society, there is a dearth of people who work with a sense of service. Often people work for publicity. But position and money are not sustainable. On the contrary, heartfelt blessings are permanent. Therefore, the Governor said that the suffering, sad, disabled and sick people of the society should be served as God.

The Governor said that the state-wide rally would also tour the state and at the same time create awareness about blood donation.

During the Corona period, there was a shortage of blood due to low blood donations. There was fear in the minds of the people about blood donation. Vivek Jugade informed that blood donation camps have been organized in 12 districts through Blood Donation Mahayagna and awareness about blood donation will be spread in all the districts of the state till October 15 and blood donation camps will be organized.

The program was introductory by Kasturi Bawne, Vice President, Devta Life Foundation, while the vote of thanks was given by Vivek Jugade, Advisor, Devta Life Foundation.
