An appeal is made to the meritorious students of the open category under the Department of Higher and Technical Education to apply for higher education scholarships abroad.
Mumbai: Under the Department of Higher and Tec
hnical Education, 20 students from the open category in the State of Maharashtra who has enrolled or will be enrolled in a foreign educational institution within THE (Times Higher Education) / QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) Ranking 200 for postgraduate diploma and PhD. Foreign scholarships are granted. The process of inviting online applications for this scholarship for the academic year 2021-22 has been started from the website dtemaharashtra.gov.in of the Director, Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai.
Students who have been admitted to foreign universities in the academic year 2020-21 are also being given the opportunity to apply for the year 2021-22. However, the students who will be selected from such students will be eligible for scholarships for the approved period of the next course except for the academic year 2020-21 (first year). For the benefit of this scheme, the annual income limit of the candidates and their parents has been increased to Rs. 8.00 lakhs from the academic year 2021-22.
Interested candidates are required to fill up the application form online at www.foreignscholarship2021.dtemaharashtra.gov.in. Candidates are required to submit a copy of the application form filled online along with the attested copy of the original certificates/documents to the office of the Divisional Joint Director for verification by 5 pm on October 20, 2021, the Joint Director Higher Education, Mumbai has informed in a press release.
