Opportunity for Translators to work on an honorarium basis.

 

Translators should apply for work on an honorarium basis Appeal from the Directorate of Languages.

Mumbai: A list of translators who can translate English text into Marathi or Marathi text into English in various subjects such as administrative law, education, engineering is to be prepared. For this, applications have been invited from the Marathi Language Department from translators who can translate from English to Marathi and from Marathi to English.

Interested translators should send their applications along with attested photocopies of original certificates to the Directorate of Languages, 5th Floor, New Administrative Building, Bandra (East), Mumbai 400051 by 10.11.2021. This has been reported by the Director of Languages, Marathi Language.

Who can apply?

The translator should have experience in translating one or more of the following subjects: Administrative Law, Medical Revenue, Academic, Engineering Environment, Computer Technology.
The translator needs to have a good knowledge of both Marathi and English.
Individuals who have self-translated and published books on one or more of the above topics may also apply.
The translator needs sufficient computer knowledge. The translator should have computer facilities with internet,
Candidates who have completed postgraduate/degree/translation diploma courses in Marathi / English can also apply for this.
Nature of work as well as terms and conditions
Various departments of the government, circles. These works will have to be completed by the nominated translators within the stipulated time within the period to be decided by the corporations as well as between the concerned departments and offices and expert translators.
The honorarium will be admissible as per the honorarium rate fixed by the government from time to time.
All translators will be responsible for the accuracy of the translation made by the translator.
The translator will be required to send a semi-annual report of his work to this office in the prescribed format,
The office reserves the right to exclude the nominee experts on the basis of their accuracy, efficiency and work ethic and also to include new experts in the nominee.
