Dedication of permanent electric lighting project at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maidan by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
Mumbai: On the historic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maidan in Dadar, a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and permanent electric lighting has been installed in the ground area and the project was inaugurated by Chief Minister Shri. It was done by Uddhav Thackeray.
This project of electric lighting has been realized from the MLA fund of Chief Minister Shri. Uddhav Thackeray. Chief Minister Shri. Uddhav Thackeray greeted the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He then inaugurated the electric lighting project. Guardian Minister Shri Aditya Thackeray inaugurated the renovated pavilion and unveiled the cornerstone. After this, Chief Minister Shri. Thackeray and all dignitaries greeted the memorial of Shiv Sena chief Mr Balasaheb Thackeray. While observing the area illuminated by electric lighting in the ground area, the Chief Minister also inspected how all the lighting was operated automatically and in a colourful manner.
The 100-year-old Pau (Drinking Water Tap), located at the Kabaddi Association in the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maidan area, has also been renovated. This drink will be used as a drinking water facility for the players coming to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maidan as well as the citizens coming to the area. Pure water will be available 24 hours a day. A total of Rs 20 lakh has been spent on this facility including the renovation of Pau (Drinking water tap).
