Approval for private buses to carry passengers to avoid inconvenience to passengers
Pune: In order to avoid possible inconvenience to the general public due to the strike of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation employees, the Home (Transport) Department of the Government of Maharashtra has approved all private passenger buses, school buses, company-owned buses and freight vehicles till the end of passenger transport.
In this context, a meeting was organized at the Regional Transport Office regarding the provision of private bus service to the passengers in the Pune area. Officials of the Regional Transport Office, Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation, Traffic Police, PMPML and Private Bus Transporters Association were present on the occasion.
Subject to the notification of the Government, passenger transport has been planned from ST bus stations in Pune city by private buses from 6 am today (November 10). Private bus operators The administration has instructed to take care that no complaints will be received from the passengers as per the prevailing fares of the present ST.
PMPML officials have been instructed to release Pune Metropolitan Transport Corporation buses in rural areas adjoining municipal boundaries in the district. However, passengers should take advantage of this facility as per their requirements, appealed Regional Transport Officer Sanjay Sasane.
