Mumbai: We believe that not all the negative things happened during the Corona period but the parents started paying more attention to their children’s education. In the post-Corona era, education should be a combination of online and offline learning. Mixed education of both the systems will be the future path of education, stated Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari here today.

The Governor was speaking at a seminar organized by Navbharat Times on ‘The Nature of Digital Age Education’ at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday (9). The seminar was attended by principals, administrators and trustees of various educational institutions.

Need is the mother of invention. There was a reluctance in society for many years to start online education. But during the Corona period, everyone embraced online education. Of course, some students were deprived of education due to a lack of internet facilities and smartphones. Therefore, the Governor expressed the view that there is no alternative to classroom education at present.

Student concentration period reduced drastically: Expert opinion

Everyone has seen the benefits of the online education system, so this method will continue. However, for the social and emotional development of the students, for the study of arts and sports as well as for the practical work, it is necessary to have a formal school education, said the participating experts.

During the Corona period, the concentration period of the students was very short and in order to get the attention of the students, the educational materials had to be developed according to the needs of the students, the experts said. Experts say that special attention should be paid to the issue of cyber security.

At the hands of the Governor, ‘Shikshan Yodha’ awards were given to various educational institutions.

Editors of Navbharat Times Sundar Chand Thakur, Latika Sharma, Dharmendra Tyagi, Rahul Deshpande and Sumit Mehta were present on the occasion.
