Sunday 21st November 2021 is the day of remembrance of the victims of road accidents.
Pune: – The third Sunday of the month will be observed on 21st November 2021 as a day of remembrance for the victims of road accidents in view of the objective of road safety measures given the seriousness of road accidents at the global level.
The purpose of this initiative is to draw the attention of NGOs, government agencies, media and the general public towards road accidents and to strengthen the efforts to prevent road accidents. In this regard, a working group has been set up in a meeting held at the Pune Regional Transport Office. Educational Institutions, NGOs, Vehicle Distributors and other Government Departments from various fields will participate in it.
Various activities have been organized to create road accident awareness among the citizens in the accident-prone areas of the district. On this occasion, the general public should be reminded and the number of road accident victims should be reduced to zero, the Secretary of the District Road Safety Committee and the Deputy Regional Transport Officer has appealed.
