Gram Panchayat by-election program announced.
Pune: The State Election Commission (SEC) has announced a program for the by-election of Gram Panchayat vacancies in the district due to death, resignation, disqualification or other reasons. Voting will take place on December 21, 2021, and counting will take place on December 22, 2021.
The notification of the final ward composition published earlier for the general election will be amended till 22nd November 2021 (Monday) to notify the additional vacancies of the backward class of citizens as general seats. The date of publication of the election notice by the Tehsildar is 22nd November 2021 (Monday).
Candidates can submit nomination papers from November 30 (Tuesday) to December 6 (Monday) and from 11 am to 3 pm. The scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on December 7 (Tuesday) from 11 am and the process will continue till the end of scrutiny. The last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is 9th December (Thursday) and the time is till 3 pm. The election symbol will be assigned after 3 pm on the same day and the list of final candidates will be published.
Voting will take place on December 21 (Tuesday) from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm. The counting of votes will take place on 22nd December (Wednesday) at the place and time as decided by the Tehsildar with the approval of the District Collector. Notification of election results will be published by the Collectorate till 27th December 2021 (Monday).
65 seats out of 43-gram panchayats in Velhe taluka, Bhor 71 gram panchayats 121 seats, Purandar 16 G.P.-27 seats, Daund 6 G.P.-6 seats, Baramati 10 G.P.-13 seats, Indapur 6 G.P. -8 seats, Junnar 31 G.P.-55 seats, Ambegaon 33 G.P.-55 seats, Khed 36 G.P.-49 seats, Shirur 8 G.P.-12 seats, Maval 15 G.P. Resident Deputy Collector Himmat Kharade has informed that by-elections will be held for 63 seats of Mulshi 35 Gram Panchayats and 103 seats of 7 Gram Panchayats in Haveli taluka for 503 seats out of total 317 Gram Panchayats.
