‘Work on mission mode for 90 days program – Principal Secretary Sanjeev Jaiswal
Pune: Sanjeev Jaiswal, Principal Secretary, Department of Water Supply and Sanitation, has been directed to work on mission mode to make the ’90 Day Program’ a success under Jaljivan Mission, and also to implement a time-bound program for retrofitting and implementation of new schemes.
He was speaking at a meeting held at the Divisional Commissioner’s Office to review the ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ and ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ schemes in five districts of Pune Regional Division namely Pune, Satara, Sangli, Solapur and Kolhapur. Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao, State Water and Sanitation Mission Mission Director Rishikesh Yashod, Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran Mumbai Member Secretary Abhishek Krishna, Bhujal Survey and Development Agency Commissioner C.D. Joshi, Abhay Mahajan, Joint Secretary, Water Supply and Sanitation Department, Rajendra Rahane, Chief Engineer, Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran Pune, Amit Ade, Executive Engineer were present.
In the meeting, Mr Jaiswal gave guidance on the work to be done under the ’90 Day Program’ announced by the state government under Jal Jeevan Mission and reviewed district wise. Under this program, the difficulties and demands for retrofitting and implementation of new schemes to meet the time-bound objectives were discussed in detail.
Senior officers of Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran, Chief Executive Officer of all five districts, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (PAWS), Executive Engineer Rural Water Supply Department, Senior Geologist, Bhujal Survey and Development also gave a detailed review of the schemes in District wise Jal Jeevan Mission and Swachh Bharat Mission.
