Mumbai: Dhule, Ahmednagar, Nanded-Waghala and Sangli-Miraj-Kupwad by-elections for the vacant by-elections on December 21, 2021; The counting of votes will take place on December 22, 2021, said UPS Madan, the state election commissioner.

Mr Madan said the code of conduct for the by-elections has been implemented in the respective constituencies from today and will remain in force till the results are declared. Nominations will be accepted from November 29 to December 6, 2021. Nominations will not be accepted on December 5, 2021, due to a government holiday. The scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on December 7, 2021. The last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is December 9, 2021. Candidates contesting the elections will be given election symbols on December 10, 2021. Voting will take place on December 21, 2021, from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm. The vote count will take place on December 22, 2021.

The vacancies for the by-elections are as follows: Dhule-5B, Ahmednagar-9K, Nanded-Waghala-13A and Sangli Miraj Kupwad-16A.
