Minister of State Shambhuraj Desai instructs to expedite the process of return to Maitreya’s investors as per rules
Mumbai: Minister of State for Home Affairs (Rural) Shambhuraj Desai has directed that the assets of Maitreya Company should be put up for auction immediately after the decision of the court to give a return to the investors as per the rules. In this regard, a meeting was organized at the Ministry today under the chairmanship of Minister of State Shri. Desai. Crimes have been registered against the Maitreya Group of Companies in 32 districts. Minister of State Shri Desai directed the fraudulent investors to get justice.
Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri Desai said that Maitreya Company has defrauded millions of investors in the state and one of the culprits is absconding and the other is in jail. The concerned department should request the court to settle the matter and get permission to auction the property. Immediately after the court’s decision, the competent authority should send a proposal regarding the auction process of the property. Minister of State Shri Desai also directed that the Economic Crimes Branch should take further action to auction the property and provide relief to the concerned investors.
The meeting was attended by MLA Prakash Abitkar, MLA Kishore Patil, MLA Mahesh Shinde, Deputy Secretary of Home Department Ramesh Manale and other officials.
