The closest relatives of the person who died due to  Covid-19 will get Rs 50,000 sanugrah assistance – Minister Vijay Vadettiwar.

Mumbai: – As per the decision of the Supreme Court dated October 4, 2021, the nearest relatives of the person who died of Covid-19 disease; The government has decided to provide Rs. 50,000 (Rs. 50,000) from the State Disaster Response Fund. This information was given by Disaster Management, Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Vijay Vadettiwar.

The state government has come up with a scheme to deposit the assistance amount directly in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. Accordingly, the assistance amount to the beneficiaries will be credited directly to the beneficiary’s account. In the state of Maharashtra, a person who has died due to Covid-19 disease and even if that person has committed suicide due to being diagnosed with Covid-19, the close relatives of the deceased will be given Rs. 50,000 / – (Rs. 50,000) Sanugrah assistance will be provided from State Disaster Relief Fund. In order to provide this sanugrah assistance, verification will be done to determine the cases of Covid-19 deaths. Various issues for verification have been given in detail in the ruling. To get this help, a close relative of a person who has died of Covid-19 disease needs to apply online on the web portal developed by the state government. The applicant can apply in person or at Setu Kendra or Gram Panchayat through CSC-SPV.

A new web portal for this work will be developed next week. The web portal will contain detailed information on how to apply online as well as details of the entire scheme. After the launch of this web portal, all the District Disaster Management Authorities should disseminate information about this at their level and make it public. District, as well as taluka and village level and local administration, should appeal to all concerned to apply online. The ruling of the Revenue and Forest Department in this regard has been issued today. It provides detailed information about this. This ruling is available on the Government of Maharashtra website.
