Planning to set up the first school for girls in Bhidewada: Minister Chhagan Bhujbal
Pune: In a meeting held in the presence of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar directed that the work should be started immediately after completing the land acquisition process for the expansion of National Monument Phulewada and Savitribai Phule Memorial. It was informed at this time that Bhidewada National Memorial which is the first school for girls will be constructed and Savitribai Phule Adya girls school will be set up at this place on behalf of Pune Municipal Corporation.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Pawar. The meeting was attended by Pune Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar, Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh, Pvt. Hari Narke Adi was present.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Pawar instructed that land acquisition for expansion of Phulewada and Smarak should be done soon. Commissioner and District Collector Dr Deshmukh said that the proposal for the same will be submitted immediately.
Savitribai Phule First Girls School in Bhidewada: Chhagan Bhujbal
In 1848, Mahatma Phule and Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule started the first girls’ school at Bhidewada. A girls’ school should be set up here by developing this historic castle. If a school is started without just erecting statues, it will be a real monument. Accordingly, a school for Savitribai Phule girls should be started here, said Chhagan Bhujbal, Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri. Pawar said that the way should be paved by holding a meeting of the concerned regarding the rehabilitation of the commercial occupants and residents in the building. In this regard, the matter can be settled amicably. He also said that everyone should come forward for a good monument in the form of a school.
The meeting was attended by shopkeepers from Bhidewada and representatives of residents.
