Ashokrao Godse was the cultural glory of Pune. His demise is a great loss to the spiritual and social sphere of the state, in such words, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar expressed his condolences and paid tribute to him.

In his condolence message, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said that Ashokrao Godse carried on the legacy of his father Tatyasaheb. For the last several decades, he has been actively contributing to the spiritual, social and cultural movement of Pune. In his journey from being a Suvarnayuga Tarun Mandal activist to the presidency of the wealthy Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Trust, he has witnessed many important events in the history of Pune.

Through Ganpati Trust, poor patients were treated and given life. Suvarnayug Sahkari Bank contributed to the economic development of many. The concept of Mahamandir of Humanity implemented by Ashoka Rao will always inspire activists in the social sector. Ashokrao’s place in the minds of Punekars is unwavering, said Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
