Mumbai: Against the backdrop of Covid-19, in the academic year 2021-22, schools / junior colleges in the state have started from October 2021 with actual attendance of students. Accordingly, the Department of School Education has announced the schedule of Practical, Grade, Oral, Internal Evaluation and Written Examinations for Higher Secondary Certificate (Class XII) and Secondary School Certificate (Class X). On the background of Covid-19, strict guidelines should be followed during the examination period, which has been appealed by the Minister of School Education, Prof. Varsha Gaikwad.

According to this schedule, practical, grade and oral/internal marks examinations of class XII will be held from 14th February to 3rd March 2022. Written exams will be held from March 4 to April 7, 2022. The period of Information Technology and General Knowledge online exams will be from 31st March to 9th April 2022. Practical, Category / Oral and Internal Assessment Examination and Out of Turn Examination will be conducted from 31st March to 21st April 2022. The results of the Class XII examinations will be announced in the first or second week of June 2022.

Practical, grade and oral/internal marks examinations of class X will be held from 25th February to 14th March 2022. Written exams will be held from March 15 to April 18, 2022. Demonstration, Category / Oral and Internal Assessment Examination and Out of Turn Examination will be conducted from 5th April to 25th April 2022. Examinations for Class X will be held from 5th April to 19th April 2022. The results of the Class X examinations will be announced in the first or second week of July 2022.

The Department of School Education has instructed the Central and State Governments as well as the Department of Health to strictly follow the guidelines issued from time to time regarding COVID-19 in the background of examinations.
