New series soon for four-wheelers; Appeal to apply for an attractive registration number.
Pune: The Regional Transport Officer, Pune, has appealed to the people to apply in advance to retain the attractive registration number for the four-wheeler series starting from the prescribed fee.
The Regional Transport Office is launching a new series for four-wheelers soon. Those who want an attractive and preferred number for private four-wheelers must pay the prescribed fee and apply in the prescribed form.
This application and cheque (DD) will have to be submitted in person between 10.30 am to 3.30 pm on 22nd December 2021 in the transport department of the office along with proof of address, Aadhaar card, identity card, attested copy of PAN card.
If more than one application is received for the same number; Their list will be released on December 23, 2021, at 10.30 am. Will be posted on the office notice board.
Applicants in this list should submit a single DD of the highest amount for auction to the office by 3 pm on 23rd December 2021. For those applications on the same day. The auction will be held in the 4th Transport Department.
The DD should be a nationalized or scheduled bank in Pune under the name ‘RTO, Pune’. In addition, it will be mandatory for the applicant to attach an attested copy of the PAN card. The DD collected for the auction should be submitted along with a single sealed wallet.
Once reserved, the registration number cannot be changed. If the vehicle is not submitted for registration within 30 days from the date of registration, the reserved registration number will be automatically cancelled and the paid fee will be credited to the Government treasury.
It has also been informed that the fee provided for reserving any specific registration number will not be refunded under any circumstances.
