The growing influence of Omicron has frightened the working class in IT companies in Pune. Companies should continue to work from home for at least the next six months to a year without playing with the lives of their employees, demanded Harpreet Saluja, chairman of the Employees Senate.

Pune has around six lakh IT employees. About 40 per cent of them have now gone to the office and started working. The rest of the staff are also now being instructed to report for actual work in the office. Against that background; Employees have demanded that companies continue to work from home for a few more months.
