Nagpur: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has said that the cost of importing petroleum and fuel is more than Rs 10,000 crore and it needs environmentally friendly and cost-effective bio-ethanol as an alternative.
He was speaking in Nagpur today. He said that all petrol-powered vehicles will now have the facility of Flex engine so that the price of vehicles will not change.
Gadkari said that 100 per cent bio-ethanol-powered vehicles would enable farmers to start pumping ethanol and would make a difference in their lives.
