Health Minister Rajesh Tope welcomes the decision to give a booster dose of the covid vaccine.
Mumbai: Health Minister Rajesh Tope has welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to give booster doses of covid vaccine to doctors and front line workers.
The issue of giving booster doses was also discussed in the state cabinet recently. Meanwhile, Health Minister Rajesh Tope called on Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandvia in New Delhi on November 16, 2021, and demanded booster doses and vaccination of children.
He also said that vaccinating children between the ages of 15 and 18 would definitely help prevent further transmission of the virus, adding that booster doses would also reduce the risk of covid infection in senior citizens with symptomatic disease and help them develop immunity to the covid virus.
