New restrictions by the state government to prevent the spread of omicron.
Jalna: The state government has imposed new restrictions to curb the spread of omicron, so citizens should follow the rules to welcome the new year and celebrate upcoming festivals, said Rajesh Tope, Minister of State for Public Health and Family Welfare.
He was speaking to reporters here. Mr Tope said new restrictions have been in place for some time now as the number of Omaicron patients is increasing in the state.
The gathering of more than five persons in public places has been banned from 9 pm to 6 am.
The number of attendees in a hall for a wedding ceremony should not exceed 100 at a time. In open space, this number is 250 or 25 per cent of the space capacity whichever is less. Attendance for other social, political, religious events may not exceed 100. The venue of such an event should not be overcrowded.
The number of omicrons is increasing rapidly in Europe and America. Everyone should be careful not to get infected. Welcome the New Year, but follow the rules. Older people in particular need to take care of themselves. Everyone should be careful that there will be no crowds anywhere.
