If Maharashtra needs 500 metric tons of medical oxygen, it will have to be locked down again – Rajesh Tope.

Jalna: Health Minister Rajesh Tope has said that if the spread of omicron continues to increase and Maharashtra needs 500 metric tonnes of medical oxygen, the state will have to lockdown it. He was speaking in Jalna yesterday.

The state government had taken a stand that the lockdown would be carried out only if the state needs 800 metric tonnes of oxygen, but now it has to be brought up and only after that the lockdown will be carried out, Tope said. Tope has appealed to the citizens to take care by following the restrictions.

Rajesh Tope has also informed that no more OMR examinations will be conducted in the state and no private body will be entrusted with the task.
