Record of 31 patients infected with omicron in one day in the state.
Today, 31 patients with omicron infection have been found in the state. Of these, 27 have been found in Mumbai, two in Thane, one each in rural Pune and Akola.
This brings the number of omecron patients found in the state so far to 141. Sixty-one of them have been discharged from the hospital after their RTPCR test came back negative.
Of the new patients found in Mumbai, four are from Gujarat, three from Karnataka, two from Kerala and Delhi and one each from Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Jalgaon, Thane, Navi Mumbai and Aurangabad.
The two patients are foreign nationals. The patients were found in a survey conducted by Mumbai International Airport. There are 1 thousand 648 corona patients registered in the state today and there are 9 thousand 813 active corona patients. A total of 17 deaths were reported in the state today due to corona.
