Mumbai: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is the adored deity of the country. It is the responsibility of all to complete the construction of the memorial of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the Arabian Sea as soon as possible, said Public Works Minister (excluding Public Enterprises) Ashok Chavan.
The issue of the memorial of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Mumbai in the Arabian Sea has been lingering for many years now, said Vinayakrao Mete, a member of the Legislative Council. He pointed out the action taken regarding the construction of this Shiv Smarak.
Public Works Minister Ashok Chavan said that everyone has a positive role to play in getting the memorial of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj erected in the Arabian Sea as soon as possible.
Due to corona conditions; A decision has been taken regarding the extension of this work. M / s. L&T Limited has not been paid any amount to date and if it had decided to cancel the contract without an extension, it would have had to pay huge compensation.
Work is also underway on court claims arising out of and before the contract was signed. Also, no additional amount will be paid to the organization for the extension of this work.
Public Works Minister Ashok Chavan informed the Legislative Council that the government is making efforts to start this work from time to time and to complete this monument as soon as possible.
