Mumbai: Health Minister Rajesh Tope announced in the Legislative Council today that MRI facility will be introduced in all the district hospitals in the state and CT scan and sonography services will be started in the sub-district hospitals in the next two months.

He said that the health department was giving priority to basic facilities, supply of medical equipment and recruitment of vacancies. This issue was raised by              Dr Sudhir Tambe of Congress regarding health services in the state. He assured that 100 posts of all medical officers in the state have been filled, 100 per cent vacancies in the health department will be filled in a transparent manner and action will be taken to start cancer treatment centres in important districts.

The opposition led by Leader of Opposition Praveen Darekar today submitted a motion of no-confidence motion against Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Council Dr Neelam Gorhe to Speaker Ramraje Naik Nimbalkar. However, since this case is a matter of justice, to discuss this point of view is contempt of court.

However, the no-confidence motion seeks to remove Deputy Speaker Neelam Gorhe from the post of Deputy Speaker as he has lost the confidence of the House today.
