Eligible senior citizens do not need a doctor’s certificate for augmentation.
Delhi: The Union Health Secretary has clarified that no such instruction has been issued by the Central Government in which the beneficiary has to submit his / her medical certificate at the Vaccination Center if he/she has diabetes or other ailments while taking the enhanced dose of Covid Prevention Vaccine.
The government has disclosed that news of the need for certification in this regard has been received through various media outlets. This amount can be registered on Covin from January 1. Vaccination can also be done directly at the immunization centre.
A third supplement for the prone group will be available from January 10. As announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, vaccination for 15 to 18-year-olds will start from January 3.
Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan conducted a workshop on Coordination of Vaccination Campaign with the States and Union Territories. He informed that after taking the second dose of the vaccine, it is possible to take the enhanced dose at least 9 months later.
