Delhi: Seven hundred 81 cases of Omicron have been reported in the country so far. Out of the total Omicron cases, Delhi has reported 238 cases, followed by Maharashtra with one hundred sixty-seven, Gujarat 73 cases and Kerala 65 cases.

Union Health Ministry said, till now, two hundred 41 people have recovered from the infection.

Amid the rapid rise in the cases of Covid-19 and its newfound variant Omicron in Several states in the past few weeks. The State Governments have brought back preventive measures to stem the possible spike of the pandemic.

In Delhi night curfew have been imposed by the State Government from 10 pm to 5 am after a yellow alert sounded under Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) with immediate effect.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath issued orders to initiate strict measures, including a statewide night curfew from last 25 December. The night curfew will be applicable from 11 pm to 5 am. The Madhya Pradesh government too imposed a night curfew in the state from 11 pm to 5 am till further orders.

Karnataka Government also decided to impose a night curfew till 6th January from 10 pm to 5 am. Haryana Government also adopt a measure to contain the spreading of the pandemic and imposed a night curfew from 11 pm to 5 am.

In Uttarakhand, a Night curfew was imposed came into effect on Monday night will remain in force from 11 pm to 5 am till further orders.

The night curfew in Kerala will be imposed from 30th December and will continue till 2nd January.

In Assam will also see late-night restrictions on the movement of people from 11.30 pm to 6 am from till further orders.
